LeafCal Legal
Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to the LeafCal mobile application (Package Name: com.zz.leafcal) and associated services operated by ZuzuVerse (hereinafter referred to as "Service Provider", "we", "us", or "our").
By downloading, installing, or using LeafCal, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them thoroughly before utilizing the Application.
1. Important Health & Fitness Disclaimer
LEAFCAL IS NOT A MEDICAL APPLICATION AND DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE.
The contents of the Application, including estimated calorie targets, macronutrient calculations, body mass index (BMI) projections, diet model guides (such as Lean Cut, Aggressive Calorie Deficits, or Water Fasting), and artificial intelligence photo analyses, are intended strictly for general informational, educational, and fitness tracking purposes.
- LeafCal is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or clinical dietary planning.
- Water Fasting & Extreme Diets Warning: Water fasting, prolonged fasting protocols, or severe calorie restriction pose health risks. You MUST consult a qualified physician, medical doctor, or registered dietitian before starting any fasting regimen, calorie deficit plan, or strenuous workout routine.
- Never disregard professional medical guidance or delay seeking medical treatment because of information displayed within LeafCal.
2. AI Meal Recognition & Food Database Accuracy Disclaimer
LeafCal provides features to estimate meal nutritional composition via Google Gemini AI photo/text analysis and Open Food Facts barcode lookups:
- AI Estimation: Calorie and macronutrient estimates generated by AI visual or text analysis are algorithmic approximations. Variations in ingredients, cooking oils, portion sizes, and preparation methods may affect real nutritional content.
- Third-Party Product Data: Barcode query results derived from Open Food Facts rely on open crowdsourced data. While we strive for quality, we do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or allergen safety of third-party product records. Users with severe food allergies or medical conditions must independently check food packaging labels.
3. License to Use & Intellectual Property
Subject to your adherence to these Terms, the Service Provider grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to download and execute LeafCal on your compatible mobile device.
All intellectual property rights, trademarks, application branding ("LeafCal", "L-CAL"), source code, database structures, graphic assets, and user interface designs belong exclusively to ZuzuVerse. Reverse engineering, decompiling, extracting source code, distributing derivative works, or copying application features without explicit written consent is strictly prohibited.
4. In-App Purchases, Tokens, Promo Codes & Subscriptions
LeafCal offers digital features, token balance packages, rewarded ad credits, and monthly unlimited access subscriptions through the in_app_purchase and backend APIs:
- Token Usage Rules: Each AI meal analysis operation (photo scan or text query) consumes 1 Token from your user token balance, unless you hold an active unlimited subscription.
- Rewarded Ads Limit: Users may earn free tokens by watching rewarded video ads provided by Google AdMob, subject to a daily limit of maximum 8 rewarded video ads per day per user.
- Promo & Referral Codes: Promo codes and referral invite codes (e.g.,
KCAL-XXXX-XXXX) are single-use per eligible user or account. Misuse, fraudulent generation, automated exploitation, or unauthorized duplication of promo codes will result in token balance cancellation and potential account suspension. - Store Billing & Subscriptions: All financial transactions are billed directly by Google Play Store (Google LLC) or Apple App Store (Apple Inc.). Monthly subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing cycle through your store account settings.
- Refunds: Purchases, token consumption, and subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law or specified under Google Play / Apple App Store refund guidelines.
5. Account Registration, Security & User Conduct
LeafCal allows you to use the Application as a Guest or voluntarily register an account (via Email, Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or third-party authentication). If you register an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You are responsible for keeping your mobile device secure. The Service Provider strongly advises against jailbreaking or rooting your mobile phone, as doing so compromises operating system security, exposes your device to malware, and may cause LeafCal to malfunction or fail.
You agree not to misuse LeafCal, disrupt backend server endpoints (kcal-backend-1.onrender.com), inject malicious payloads into cloud databases, or bypass token entitlement systems. You may request account deletion at any time in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZuzuVerse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data loss, personal injury resulting from unverified nutritional reliance, or operational interruption arising out of your use or inability to use LeafCal.
9. Indemnification
